Welcome to the Instructional Design & Technnology program
web site. Founded as a collaborative effort
of the College of Education, Psychology Department,
and John D. Odegard School of Aerospace
Sciences,
the IDT program has trained instructional designers
to work in schools as curriculum developers
and technology facilitators, and to work in
corporate settings as trainers and developers
of print-, computer-, and web-based instruction.
The Instructional Design & Technology program was modified
in 2005 to reflect the needs of modern schools
and the training workplace, adding more instructional design, human-performance
technology, and technology-based instruction course options.
This new curriculum is based on the AECT/NCATE
curriculum standards for instructional design
programs, and is competetive with the
best graduate programs in IDT.
What makes the IDT program at UND stand out, however,
is its interdisciplinary nature, access to
cutting edge simulation and video production
resources, and the personal, one-to-one learning,
research, and development experiences our students
enjoy. Read on to find out what IDT has to
offer you, and download
our brochure to take
with you and show to others!
